Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party


Maharashtrawadi Gomantak (MAG) Party is one of the oldest and first ruling political party in the state of Goa after the end of colonial rule in 1961.  In the last assembly elections in alliance with Congress, it won the elections and was the member of the ruling government led by INC. Later it withdrew  its support in July 2007.

In 2009 General Elections, MAG contested only from North Goa parliamentary constituency and could not win from there.

President: Pandurang Raut
